News Article

The four-part documentary series from Parad Media has already secured key Nordic pre-sales ahead of its launch on YLE and international debut at Sunny Side of the Doc.

Limonero Films has acquired worldwide distribution rights to “Bock Saga,” the original four-part true crime documentary series produced by Finland-based Parad Media.

Axel Högström, CEO and Producer at Parad Media, said: “I am so proud to present the bizarre story of Ior Bock and his disciples to the world. We have been working on this documentary for five years now, tracing the ripples of the alternative creation myth that Bock proclaimed. The production has taken us all over the world–from the dark woods of Finland to sex parties in Berlin, to the slums of Goa, and all the way to sunny California. It is a truly compelling story that transcends both space and time! For me, ‘Bock Saga’ is the ultimate proof that truth really is stranger than fiction, and I am very happy that Limonero helps us share this once-in-a-lifetime gem with the international audiences.”

Pamela Martínez Martínez, Founder and CEO of Limonero Films, added: “I am very excited to be able to share this project with the world. We have been following its development for many months now and are very impressed by the final product. True crime, cults, eccentric characters, a treasure! It has all the ingredients to be a hit!”

The series is set to premiere on YLE on July 27 and has already been pre-sold to NRK, SVT and DR, underscoring strong international interest ahead of its release.

“Bock Saga” follows the enigmatic and controversial story surrounding the followers of Ior Bock, a self-proclaimed mystic whose teachings inspired the creation of the Bock Saga. Spanning locations from Goa’s trance party scene to an underground temple in Finland rumored to conceal a €20 billion treasure, the series explores a surreal world of faith, obsession and conspiracy. Combining real-time investigations, archival footage and animation, the documentary examines the intersection of myth and reality in a quest for truth.

Limonero Films will launch the series to the international market at Sunny Side of the Doc in La Rochelle. The acquisition further strengthens the Barcelona-based distributor’s factual and documentary portfolio while expanding the international reach of a distinctive Nordic true crime production with broad global appeal.
